The Dog Silencer Pro is weather resistant, so it can handle many of the
elements with its included rain jacket. However, the unit is not
waterproof, so it would need to be protected further if there is a chance
it can get soaked. Many customers use a birdhouse or plastic planter box
turned on its side. You can use anything as long as the front is not
blocked.The AC adapter’s cord and 60-foot extension cord are waterproof. It
can handle temperatures ranging from 0 to 105 degrees.

Cats have high hearing ranges, so they can hear the sounds emitted.
Usually, the cat will avoid the area if it does bother them. Also, the
ultrasonic sounds emitted from the device are sent directionally forward
and will not go through solid objects, such as glass windows, walls or wood
fences. If the cat is not within range or your cat is inside and the device
is outside, your cat will not hear the sounds.

the “ultra” mode, it will emit ultrasonic sound frequencies. These are
outside of our hearing range, so people shouldn’t hear them but dogs can.

An I the only one who can hear the noise at 1:01? This shouldn’t be allowed
because children/teenagers can hear the annoying noise too. My neighbour
had one if these and it was so annoying.

doorbell or walks by their fence, they tend to be barking for territorial
reasons.

customers have success with it training a small dog (toy poodle) from

and nuisance barking. However, when a dog barks at another dog, they tend
to be in a territorial or protective mode. The Dog Silencer Pro may help
curb some of this barking, but it depends on the dog. If they see it as
very important to bark at the other dog, they may just ignore the sounds
and continue to bark.

Our neighbor’s dog is in a 3 ft.fence beside our yard, which is directly
beside a public side walk. He barks every time someone walks by, especially
when they are walking with another dog. Would this device be likely to help
stop a dog barking at other dogs passing by? It doesn’t seem to bother the
dog owners, but it’s obvious we will not be able to have windows open this
spring. (We do have a tree we could possibly mount the device to)

instinctual barking, such as territorial and protective. Since this type of
barking is natural to dogs, they tend to ignore the sounds and continue to
bark. It’s very important to dogs that they warn their pack that there is
possible danger or warn others that they are in their territory.

cannot pass through doors, walls or any other solid barriers. For best
results the unit must have a clear line of sight with the dog(s) you wish

The Dog Silencer Pro works on bigger dogs, but it may not work on *older*
dogs. As dogs age they aren’t able to hear high-pitched sounds as well.
But, if you feel your dog’s hearing is still pretty good then its
definitely worth trying. If for any reason it doesn’t work for your
situation just give us a call you’ll get your money back. Easy as that.

I’m strongly considering this. Would this work on an older German Shepard?
I had heard the high pitch is less effective for bigger dogs.

Cats can hear the Dog Silencer Pro since they have a hearing range similar
to dogs, but if you are using it outdoors your cat should be okay. The unit
won’t hurt him, and if it does startle him he can move away from it
(assuming he isn’t confined to your yard). If the cat is confined to one
area, we don’t recommend using the Dog Silencer Pro nearby because it will
cause him stress.

do cats hear it? i want to silence the neighbor’s dog without disturbing my
cat
