a good modification for this product would be to install a .50 cal rifle to
it that activates when the dog barks, a sensor could swivel the gun at the
dog and fire a warning shot to its head then the next bark, if that
happens, could go for centre of the mass

Hey, what ever works – i just hope this solves the issue. I would always
recommend aiming for the method of solving the neighbours barking dog
problems as easily and effortlessly as possible. As this unit is fairly
discreet and affects the dogs only it has been a great option. But go the
drums if you can stand the noise and effort too. Good innovative thinking.

Surprisingly this is not able to affect cats – which is a bit of a query
when we have people who own cats – but have barking dogs next door. It may
be that the pitch is affecting only dogs (rather than humans or cats etc)
then the decibel level is quite loud and uncomfortable for them also – I
would look for other units that scare cats and skunks.

Does it work on cats? My neighbor has 3 cats that are always running around
our home. and they like to poop in the grass. I was going to shoot them
with a paint ball gun. One at a time when I spotted them. But I don’t want
to hurt them. And let the neighbor know it was me. I was going to use some
snares that would hang them up in a tree, but animal control would charge
me with a crime. Maybe I’ll put a stature of my other neighbors wife out
back. She’s so ugly, it would scare off a skunk too.

It’s sad people can be so ignorant,my old neighbour who i tried to explain
the situation didn’t care, so, i have a drum kit which i set up right next
to there bedroom and waited until they got home. I would then hit the
cymbal, and only the cymbal continuously for up to ten minutes. When it got
to the point the neighbour had the shits, i would hit both cymbals being
even louder. Fixed that problem after the useless council couldn’t. A cheap
cymbal can cost $20 on Ebay, go and buy one!.

Dog ownes have super powers. Really! They have a super ability which
enables them to some how? Not hear ther own Barking Dogs! They can
magically turn off the sound of ther own barking dogs? Even when the mutts
are right under ther bedroom window. How do they aquire this power. And
where can i get it? It’s hard to type while I clean an oil my 38sp. If you
get my meaning.

Here’s an idea….how about the rangers/animal control guys actually get
off their ass and issue fines to owners of nuisance dogs. The whole issue
exists because they simply won’t enforce their local noise ordinance.

I feel every ones pain when it comes to this issue. my neighbours dog has
the most ridiculous high pitched shrill of a bark that resonates for miles
and its constant and repetitive. Theres no such thing as peace and quiet or
a nice sleep in here. They are really nice people and they know the dogs an
issue and have apologised but they put up with it. My other neighbours dog
barks and howls when they go out. Their nice too but again their sorry but
they put up with it. hope this product helps.

Ha, call the police? My neighbor is the police and handler for the police
dog which used to bark at night, every night. Drove everyone in the
neighborhood crazy. Dog died a few months ago from guts twisting inside.
New dog is on the way. We’ll see how the next one is. Interesting device
which I’ll keep in mind.

Hi Anthony… That really sucks… That is why i think they invented these
‘ultra Sonic’ units – so the neighbour does not realise the unit is there –
but it starts to “irritate” the dog – and they know it’s the barking, so
they stop barking. Stoppin a Dog barking next door is a big issue – there
are 3 people involved – the Dog Owner – The neighbour and the Ranger
usually. So anything that can keep all parties happy is worth GOLD. Thanks

Really hard to get people to do something about the dog – and sometimes
hard to get the authorities to take action – and who suffers in the end,
either the person complaining or the dog. Hopefully the owners take
responsibility for the dog in the end… we have some great options for

It shows how STUPID nieghbors r that U have 2 knock on their door to tell
them how NOIESY their dogs are being that they have NO common sense! Love
thy nieghbor? Great, when they clean up their act! NO doubt, they cannot
discipline their kids IF they cannot control their animals. Pit bull dogs r
most dangerous like dobermans – they r UNPREDICTABLE. Go on youtube and see
all REAL stories! Cops have the right to shoot -he ll lose his leg.

I have 2 bark houses and 2 black boxes and 3 large gray ..the 3 dogs**&^&
behind me are still barking.. they dont work on all dogs..the black and the
gray ones have a setting so the whole neighborhood can hear when triggered
,,they eat up batteries..if you put them up in the trees use pullies so one
can change directions and change the batteries ..bark bark ..beep beep

no kidding…the owners that let their dogs bark and be a nuisance, are the
most uncaring trash there is, and will ALWAYS do more to bother you…have
had that experience before..

I discovered in the Onkaparinga Council area (South Australia) you have no
rights in regards to barking dogs. They give you a dog barking diary. But
the dog must bark 1000 per day. You have to sit their and count the barks
every day for a week. Ridiculous! Then they tell you can’t do anything. Its
not about silence, people need to train or take reasonable steps
(demonstrate action) to train.
